ICYDOCK 3.5" Enclosure SATA to USB/FW
The stylish ICYDOCK is a 3.5" External hard drive enclosure, which accepts any capacity 3.5" SATA hard drive. The hard drive is housed in a caddy, or removable tray. The caddy can also be used in other multi bay systems (more of this below).
It has a USB2.0 and FireWire A interface (FW400) to connect the hard drive case to a PC, Mac or Linux comuter. The ICYDOCK drive case uses a fast Oxford chip, one of the best FireWire chips available, to ensure that data transfer is as fast and reliable as possible.
To install a hard drive into the stylish external hard drive case is very simple, and takes only a few minutes. Using the ICYDOCK drive enclosure is a great way of building your own external hard drive storage solution, or it can be used to re-cycle an old hard drive that you may have spare.
One of the neat features of the ICYDOCK is that you can use the caddy in a range of external storage drives like the4 bay MB561 and the rack mounted MB453 from ICYDOCK.
Operation is fan-less, so it is very quiet, and it is made from plastic, so is very stylish. Excellent heat dissipation is achieved via ventilation panels.
