The SR5650-4S-SB2 is designed for Audio& Video editors who require high transfer rates and a large storage capacity. Embedded with an RAID 5 controller, one hard drive can fail and the unit will still operate.
RAID5 ensures system performance and fulfills the requirement of data safety and system efficiency. With 4 bays, a SATA interface and multi-transfer host interface, it not only supports the large disk capacities of up to 2 TB, but the highest transfer rate is up to 150MB/s. This feature satisfies the requirement of large data storage capacity and high transmission efficiency.
The features of the SR5650-4S-SB2 include Multi-transfer host interface eSATA + USB2.0 The drive interface is SATA I / SATA II with a Transfer Rate of 150/56 MB/. You can install 4 SATA disks with a capacity over 2TB. The internal RAID controller supports RAID 0, 5, 0+1, 5+spare, it will not affect the system efficiency.
On-line Data Rebuilding so when the hard disk fails, the system will rebuild the data to new disk automatically without any command.
The Hot-Swap feature enables you to change the failed disk without shutting down the system. In other words you stay online.
The Web-based GUI management lets you inspect and set the H/W status easily via RS-232 port & GUI management. The system detector automatically detects the hard disk allowing automatic temperature regulation. If the hard disk fails, the system will automatically sound the alarm.
If you use hard disks with capacities higher than 750GB, you can enable the option "Over 2TB enable" on the LCD monitor to take advantage of the volume which is over 2TB but you would have to use SATA cable to connect the unit with the computer. If you use the USB2.0 lead to connect to your computer,the system just only shows 2TB that you can use.
