One Touch 2.5 Case IDE
The stylish, elegant 2.5" One Touch Enclosure for mobile IDE hard drives is a great choice of hard drive cases. The reason is, not only to you get a very good looking, elegant hard drive case, but you also get easy to use backup software, to use with the hard drive once it is installed.
Great design, easy installation
Firstly, the design. These great looking white enclosures are a touch apart from the bog standard disk case. The IDE hard drive case is made from smooth, warm plastic, and the case has rounded edges. Installation of the IDE hard drive is very easy, and there are no screws. You simply slide off the back cover, insert the hard drive, and then clip the cover back in place. If it takes you more than one minute to complete, then you probably stopped for a coffee break!
For IDE hard drives
Once you have installed any capacity IDE hard drive in the One Touch case, you can treat this bit of kit like an external hard drive, or, in addition, as a backup drive. The supplied Backup4all software enables you to (amongst other things) select what you want to backup, when the 'One Touch' button is pushed on the case. Then, say you have completed a job (a letter, a chapter of a book, an essay and so on), you simply push the button on the one touch enclosure, and any changed files on your computer will be backed up. It can't really be much simpler.
Of course using an external hard drive case is a great way of re-cycling an existing hard drive, and if you have a hard drive with data on it, you can use this case to get the data back, and then keep using it as a backup.
Backup your data
The One Touch Backup software works on Windows Computers, but, should you have a Mac, this beautiful case will work with your Mac, as an additional external hard drive. Linux computer can also use the drive as an external hard drive.

Before you buy your hard drive enclosure, please check the following:
Is your hard drive a SATA hard drive, or IDE? IDE is also referred to as ATA or PATA. You can find this out by enterning the part number of your hard drive into a search engine. Look at the specifications of the hard drive.
The next thing you need to check is the physical size. Again, in the technical specifications, it will tell you if the drive is a 2.5" or 3.5" hard drive. We refer to 2.5" hard drives as 'Mobile' and the 3.5" hard drives as 'Desktop'. Sometimes we refer to both, for expample a Mobile 2.5" hard drive case. 3.5" hard drive do in fact measure just short of 4 inches (a weird quirk!)
