This image shows a 2.5" IDE hard drive. It is suitable for use with any 2.5" IDE hard drive enclosure. Compare the hard drive you have to this one to see if it is suitable for use in the USB caddy. If it has two rows of brass pins, then it is an IDE hard drive, and it will work with any of our IDE Mobile enclosures. If the hard drive featured here does not look like the one you have, compare it to the SATA hard drive in the other picture. Look carefully at the connector on the hard drive you have. If it has pins, it is a IDE hard drives. If it does not have two rows of pins, then it is most likely a SATA hard drive. In this case you will need to use one of the SATA hard drive enclosures.
Also, you can establish which hard drive you have if you type the model number into a search engine. Look at the description. If it mentions ATA and / or IDE, then one of our 2.5" mobile enclosures will do the trick. If it mentions that its a SATA drive, then of course one of our mobile SATA hard drive enclosures will be the one for you.
