This images shows the IcyDock IB-168SK-B with a hard drive halfway into the drive caddy. The hard drive simply slots onto the caddy, without the need for the hard drive to be in a tray, or disk caddy. Its such a simple implimentation of an internal drive caddy, that we think all manufacturers will come out with something like this. Icydock certainly have a way of making innovative products, and this disk drive caddy is just one of a large number of great disk trays and products. They also do a range of external hard drives and disk drive enclosures, so they know what they are doing.
