Matching Drive & Computer Interfaces
To add a drive, simply match the interface on the drive to the interface on your computer. As a general rule, most PCs, laptops and Apple computer have a USB port. Most new computers will have a USB2.0 port, which is faster than 'Original' USB. Any current Apple Mac will have a FireWire port, but PC users should check if they have a FireWire or iLink port to ensure compatibility.
Although still rare, SATA support can be added to most computers with an upgrade card. Sata offers superior performance to both USB2.0 and FireWire connections.
