5.25" IDE to FireWire/USB2.0 Enclosure
The 5.25” CD Enclosure is an external case with a FireWire 400/USB2.0 interface which enables you to create your own external Combo DVD or CD Writer.
Takes anything
You may already have an old CD or DVD Burner lying around that you no longer use, so why not put it to use with the Combo DVD enclosure? Or, get the latest DVD drive and plug it in! This device will work with just about any IDE CD, CDRW or DVD (+RW and -RW) or IDE hard disk drive. Building your own DVD unit lets you decide which DVD writer you want to use, rather than accepting what you are given.

Installation, even for non-technical people, is straightforward, and you can save a lot of money by recycling your devices. You can also buy the latest DVD Writer to suit your specifications, saving a lot of money over a pre-configured unit.
The SD CD Enclosure will work with most IDE based peripherals.
