The 3 port FireWire Cardbus card is an upgrade card for laptop or notebook computers. It is a very handy way of enabling your computer to connect to high speed firewire products, like external hard drives, or external DVD writers. You can also use it for Digital Video editing. Because it has three ports, you could for instance connect your Digital Video to one port, and a Firewire hard drive to another, and copy the contents from the video directly onto the external hard disk.
