1. IB-AC605 support also USB 2.0 cable, but the transfer is limited also to USB 2.0. 2. USB 3.0 has a 10 times higher bandwidth as USB 2.0 (5 Gbit/s to 480 Mbit/s) and theoretically 10 times higher transfer rate. In practice, the transfer rate is limited by the slower SATA interface of the hard drive (3 Gbit/s).
