The Drobo: Redefining Data Storage
Data Robotics have recently announced the Drobo, an incredibly low tech way of securing your data. Drobo is a tiny, desktop data storage device that you need know nothing about. It is simply the cleverest, easiest to use but most secure way of storing and safeguarding your data.
You simply connect Drobo to your computer via the USB lead, and plug it into the mains. Insert a few SATA hard drives. They don't have to be the same make or capacity. And that's it. If you need more space, add a few more hard drives. When you have 4 drives (the maximum), you get warned that the lowest capacity disk is getting full. Replace it with a bigger capacity disk. Your data is saved. If one or two of the disks die, replace them. Drobo will tell you which one to replace. Its a kind of RAID drive, but without the RAID. You don't need to know anything about how the data is protected or stored. Just know it is!
Drobo requires so little from the user, anyone can use it, and everyone who requires 100% data protection should use it. Find it on our website:
